Programming
In addition to programming web and desktop applications (Java, Adobe AIR) we are also offering other web services. These services include interactive web maps. Najdi.si map is an example of that, which has been developed for a number of years. With this kind of services we use the same technology and instruments as we do when designing a web site, but for the integrated solution GIS technology, instruments and knowledge are additionally used.
GIS services
A Geographic Information System or geographical information system is any system that captures, analyzes, manages and presents data that are linked to the location (data have coordinates). For map formation we need data that are expressed as vector (roads, buildings, rivers, lakes, mountains …) or raster. The next step is to design cartography with special software for previously mentioned data, with which we can visually present spatial data or actual map pictures. And finally we prepare interactive web application, which shows the map in the web browser.

Search engine
A geographical map can be made as well as geographical terms search engine. Vector data contain so called meta information, which include: term descriptions, addresses, streets, sites… Meta information helps us to create a search engine which uses the same technology as a web browser www.najdi.si. This is the way that enables users to search and find the information they want.
